Crystal Palace legend Wilfried Zaha was in town to support a very special cause on Monday.

The Manchester United winger, who moved from Crystal Palace to Old Trafford last season, was at the White Horse pub to lend his support to eight year old Scarlett Hewitt.

Scarlett needs to raise £65,000 to have a life changing operation in the USA which will mean she can walk unaided.

The White Horse Pub, in Selhurst, put on a special fundraising day on Monday before the Liverpool game to raise money for Scarlett and Zaha put in an appearance at the pub to the delight of the fans who were already there.

Palace fans have rallied round to support Scarlett. The Five Year Plan Fanzine donated £1 of every copy sold of its fanzine yesterday and they sold out in record time.

So far nearly £30,000 has been raised for Scarlett’s Wish to Walk.
