Yannick Bolasie wants Wilfried Zaha to rejoin him at Crystal Palace and take on the Premier League together next season.

The two wingers were influential in Palace’s promotion from the Championship 12 months ago before Zaha finally switched to Manchester United after agreeing to join the Red Devils in January 2013.

But after struggling to impress at Old Trafford and then being sent on loan to Cardiff, Zaha was back at Selhurst Park to watch Palace’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Monday.

“It’s great to see Wilfried back and hopefully he'll be back next season,” said his former Eagles team-mate.

Bolasie put in another impressive performance on Monday, providing Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson with plenty of problems.

Although he has failed to score this season, the 24-year-old assisted Dwight Gayle’s first goal against the Merseysiders after orchestrating an excellent counter attack.

And the Palace winger takes confidence from playing against some of the world’s best full-backs every week in the Premier league.

“Every full-back is offensive,” he explained.

“In the last couple of weeks I've played against Leighton Baines and Glen Johnson.

“It has given me confidence and it is good to show that I’m up there with them going both ways.

“I haven't scored this season, but I’m a work in progress and I’m going to try and make sure in the summer I get in the right positions and be a bit more composed in the final third.

“That’s what I think I'm lacking right now.”

Bolasie also reflected on his first season in the Premier League, one he described as “alright”.

He added: “It started off a bit slow.

“I had an injury, came back and got suspended for three games so it was a bit stop start.

“Once I started getting a run of games I got comfortable at this level.”
