Sutton & District AC defied the weekend weather to leave the Surrey County Championships at Kingsmeadow with a haul of medals.

The club picked up 20 medals, half of which were the golden variety, along with six silvers and four bronze.

Charmont Webster-Tape led the way with double U15s gold in the 100m (12.40 seconds) and 200m (26.05secs).

There was also sprint gold, and a county best performance, for Imanin Lansiquot in the U17s 100m (11.74secs).

In the seniors, Neville Harris won 800m gold clocking one minute 56.07secs, while Chris McAlister won 400m hurdle gold in the U20s (55.67secs).

In the same age category, Laura Reilly ran 15.70secs to win the 100m hurdles, and Raquel Forbes-Welch clocked 12.64secs in the 100m.

There was also glory for Jacob Veerapen in the U17 triple jump (13.73m), and Dominique Corradi in the U13 1,500m (05:04.22).

Silver went to Haylie Francis (seniors high jump, 1.50m), Maddie Sketchley (U17 pole vault 2.70m), Jack Whishaw (U15 300m 37.55secs) and Francesca Forbes (U15 high jump 1.45m).

Clubmates Chris Smale, Jake Field, Cameron Starr, Laura Reilly, Dan Harris and Joe Harmsworth all claimed bronze over the weekend.
