Hercules Wimbledon's Claire Grima followed up her record-breaking run in April's London marathon by breaking her club 10km record in the BUPA London 10km road race on Sunday.

She clocked 37 minutes six seconds to smash her previous mark of 37:23 set in June 2011.

Lisa Thomas also broke the club women's over 45 record with a time of 39:43. She took almost two minutes off her previous mark of 41:40 set at Chessington in February.

Best of the Hercules Wimbledon men in action was Alex Bruce-Littlewood who was fifth in 30:13 with Jonathan Cornish 63rd in 32:49, Alex Bellew 79th in 34:55 and Rob Tuer, who finished fifth in the Surrey 5,000m championship the previous day, 140th in 34:55.

It was the first time he had competed in a parkrun since 2008 when he won the Wimbledon Common event in 16:53.

It was only his second race of the year, and in his only previous appearance, he ran the fourth leg for the Hercules Wimbledon team in the England National 12-stage road relay championship at Sutton Coldfield in April.
