Belgrave Harriers William Sharman has vowed to end his season at the IAAF Athletics Continental Cup in Morroco on a high.

It was a hectic week for the much-travelled 29-year-old Commonwealth and European men's 110 metres hurdles silver medallist, who raced in three meetings inside five days.

On a showered-filled Tuesday night at Hanžeković Memorial IAAF World Challenge in Zagreb, Croatia, Sharman recorded his worst time of the season (13.77seconds) to finish seventh, with Russia's reigning European champion Sergey Shubenkov taking the winning line in 13.39secs.

But there was a much improved performance on Friday at AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme IAAF Diamond League in Brussels, Belgium where he clocked 13.31secs for sixth place behind winner Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (13.08) from France.

Sharman rounded off his busy week on Saturday by recording a second-placed 13.52secs finish behind Cuba's Dayron Robles (13.40) at the PUMA Great North City Games in Newcastle.

On the Brussels performance Sharman said: "It wasn't my best run and something was missing.

"It was a bit difficult because I've had a few problems over the past couple of weeks, I haven't able to train or get certain stuff right.

"But I'm going to get it right for the Continental Cup."
