Gayle, 25, is expected to leave the club this month after enduring a frustrating season.

French striker Gomis, who has scored 12 league goals for Swansea since signing in 2014, has been strongly linked with a move.

Boost for Palace as Watford abandon transfer race – report

Crystal Palace have been handed a boost with Watford abandoning the race to sign former Tottenham star Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togo international was released by Spurs in September by mutual consent but hopes to revitalise his career at another top flight club.

The Hornets opened talks with the striker last month but boss Quique Sanchez Flores is said to hold reservations about bringing Adebayor to Vicarage Road.

Norwich and Palace enter race for Roma striker – report

Norwich and Palace have joined the growing list of clubs interesting in a deal for Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.

Fellow Premier League clubs Leicester, Sunderland and Swansea have been linked with the Ivory Coast international, who can play on both wings.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave the Italian club during the current window although his destination is far from clear.
