Wilfried Zaha believes Crystal Palace can take on Manchester United with freedom after their draw against Arsenal took them to within touching distance of the 40-point mark.

The Eagles suffered a dramatic loss of form at the start of 2016 and failed to win a league game until April 9.

However, any fears of slipping into a relegation battle were eased with the side taking six points from their last four games.

Zaha says some of the pressure has been lifted ahead of the club’s trip to Old Trafford.

The former United player said: “The point at Arsenal was massive and reaching 39 points is big.

“Now we go to United without much pressure and we can show what we can do.

“I am buzzing the pressure is off our shoulders now. When you are playing with pressure it just shows in your game, and we’ve been playing with so much pressure recently.”

Palace put together a fine FA Cup run earlier in the season and booked a semi-final showdown with Watford.

However, Zaha admits their season was “going down the drain” as they continued to drop down the league.

The 23-year-old added: “We were winning games in the FA Cup but our league season was going down the drain.

“But we have got what we have wanted a little and can focus to see how far we can go in the competition.

“It will just be nice to go out there and play the football we know.”
