Ex-Charlton defender Paul Elliott has urged Crystal Palace to appoint in-demand boss Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel left Borussia Dortmund after a relationship breakdown with the club’s hierarchy on Tuesday. His exit came just three days after winning the German Cup.
The 43-year-old is regarded as one of Europe’s best young coaches and has been touted as Arsene Wenger’s successor at Arsenal.
Crystal Palace are still looking for a manager to replace Sam Allardyce, and Elliott, who played for Charlton in the 1980s, reckons Tuchel would fit in well at Selhurst Park.
He told talkSPORT: “He’s a very capable and competent coach - and got Dortmund to the Champions League.

“I don’t think he will get a top six job in England but certainly anywhere from eighth to mid-table.
“I am just thinking on my feet here - Crystal Palace? They are looking for a manager.
“London is very attractive, Palace have an excellent chairman in Steve Parish, so that might be an opportunity.
“But for sure he’s a Premier League manager, there’s no doubt about that.”
