Crystal Palace are chasing Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen.
Vermaelen has two years left on his Barcelona deal, but is surplus to requirements.
The 31-year-old, who captained Arsenal, was loaned out to Roma last season and made just nine appearances.
And the Mirror reports that the Belgium international wants to rescue his career with a move to Selhurst Park.

Vermaelen joined Barcelona in 2014, but has failed to break into the first-team.
