Crystal Palace will announce the £7.9m signing of Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald tomorrow, according to reports.

Riedewald, 20, is set to fly out to meet up with his new team-mates in Hong Kong once the move is confirmed.

The young Dutch defender is reunited with Palace boss Frank de Boer, who he worked with at Ajax.

De Boer handed Riedewald his debut in senior football in 2013, and his form has attracted the likes of Everton and Tottenham.

But the Guardian reports that Palace have won the race to sign the highly-rated player.

Riedewald featured 23 times for Ajax last term, and played in the Europa League final against Manchester United.

And Riedewald could be joined by Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi, who is being chased by the Eagles and Stoke.
