Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer remained coy when quizzed about the club’s interest in Tottenham duo Michel Vorm and Kevin Wimmer.

Vorm has been number two to Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for the past three seasons and Wimmer’s days are numbered following the big money arrival of Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.

De Boer wants to bring in a centre-back and a goalkeeper before the transfer window closes, and the Tottenham pair would be impressive additions.

Vorm proved himself as a capable Premier League stopper during his time with Swansea, while Wimmer has performed well at international level for Austria.

De Boer said: “I’m not talking about transfer rumours [on Wimmer] like that. If something happens then you’ll be the first to know.”

When asked about the Eagles’ interest in Vorm, the former Inter Milan manager added: “We have a list of goalkeepers who can be suitable for us but right now I’ll focus on the Swansea game.”

One transfer target Palace missed out on was Oliver Burke, who joined West Brom in a £15m deal from RB Leipzig on Friday.

The Scotland winger would have provided much-needed competition for Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend.

De Boer added: “He is still an interesting player for the future of Scottish football. He was on everybody's list but wasn't of big interest for us.”
