Roy Hodgson and Slavisa Jokanovic are being lined up as candidates to replace struggling Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer.

De Boer is under increasing pressure from Palace chiefs after losing his first three league games.

The Dutchman succeeded Sam Allardyce at Selhurst Park in the summer, but has failed to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Former England manager Hodgson and Fulham boss Jokanovic are understood to be waiting in the wings if De Boer gets the axe.

De Boer could be sacked if the Eagles fail to win at Burnley on Sunday. Palace would have to pay a hefty compensation fee to lure Jokanovic away from Fulham. The Serb signed a new two-year deal in February.

And Hodgson is believed to be keen on replacing De Boer. The veteran manager has been out of work since England’s embarrassing exit to Iceland at Euro 2016.

But Hodgson has had successful spells in the top-flight with Fulham and West Brom. He took the Whites to the 2010 Europa League final and guided West Brom to a top 10 finish a year later.

He is known for keeping clubs in the Premier League, and could be a handy short-term option if Palace’s woes continue.
