Crystal Palace want to sign former Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez next month.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is confident the AC Milan stopper, who is currently on loan with Espanyol, can improve his relegation threatened-side.
Palace are bottom of the Premier League and two points from safety.
Hodgson has been picking Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni this season, with both goalkeepers failing to nail down a regular starting spot.
And the Mirror reports that Palace are lining up a move for Lopez, who has won La Liga and the Champions League with Real Madrid.
The veteran, 36, would add invaluable experience and quality to Palace’s fight against the drop.
