Crystal Palace put in a solid performance but conceded two second-half goals as Liverpool steal the three points in an entertaining game.

Winger Wilfred Zaha exposed Alexander-Arnold to get clear on goal before being taken out by Karius, and Milivojevic stepped to slot it home to give Palace a 1-0 lead going into half-time.

After shutting out Liverpool’s front three for most of the first-half, Hodgson’s men were caught cold early in the second when Mane headed in to level the scores.

Salah once again popped up to score his customary goal to give Klopp’s men the three points.

Here’s how News Shopper rated Crystal Palace’s players…

Wayne Hennessey - 6 - Did his job for most of the game and wasn’t at fault for the goals.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 5 - Coped well in the first-half but seemed to get targeted in the second, rightly subbed off as he seemed to tire and get exposed.

Martin Kelly - 7 - Did the basics well and made no mistakes, that’s all you can ask for against Liverpool’s dynamic front three.

Mamadou Sakho - 6 - Defended well but was very sloppy with the ball at times. He was at fault for Liverpool’s goal where chested it down rather than clearing it. An erratic game from the defender overall.

Patrick van Aanholt - 7 - Another solid performance from the Dutchman. His energy throughout the game was superb. He did well in defence and provided an outlet down the left too, unlucky to be on the losing side.

Andros Townsend - 7 - Worked throughout the game going forward and back. Had Benteke put away his pass, the result would’ve been much different.

Yohan Cabaye - 5 - A side of his game we don’t see much, Cabaye formed a solid trio with Milivojevic and McArthur in midfield. Not only did he blunt Liverpool’s midfield but he provided a base for Palace to counter from.

Luka Milivojevic - 7 - Put the penalty away and marshalled the midfield, for the amount of work he put into the game, Palace should’ve come away with something.

James McArthur - 6 - Would’ve liked to have got on the ball more but he did well to keep a solid a shape and frustrate Liverpool’s midfield. Unfortunate that his efforts weren’t rewarded in the end.

Wilfred Zaha - 8 - Once again Zaha proved just how important he is to this team. His ability to push up the field and occupy a defence is fantastic, although like much of the Palace team. Man of the match.

Christian Benteke - 5 - His hold up play was very good throughout the game. However, he missed two chances and should have put Palace up 2-1 shortly after Liverpool’s first goal.
