Surrey golfers are just pants!

The TopGolf driving range in Addlestone raised more than £800 for male cancer charity Everyman at a Golf Grand Slam.

The centre donated £10 for every player who took part with their pants or boxers over their trousers.

Postman Stephen Dale, from new Day, won a Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience at Brooklands, plus a meal and overnight stay in a luxury hotel after winning the event with 159 points.

“I go to TopGolf five times a week so was delighted to find out I had won,” said Stephen.

“I am looking forward to getting in that car!”

TopGolf Surrey general manager Helen Lloyd said: “It was fantastic to see so many golf fans turn out for such a worthy cause.

“There were some interesting pants - some looked a bit older than others.”

The grand slam was the final event of a month-long event held in support of the Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, TopGolf has donated 5p to the charity from every game played at the range.

Everyman spokesman Alison Morgan said: “The partnership with TopGolf has been an amazing way for us to raise awareness of and raise vital funds for research into male cancer.

“It has been a really successful month and we want to thank TopGolf and all the players who participated throughout June for their time and support.”
