Liverpool will be looking to maintain the momentum gained from their 2-0 win against Manchester United when they visit Craven Cottage this weekend.

The Reds have dominated the recent games between the two sides having won three and drawn one of the last four meetings.

In fact, Fulham have failed to score in the last four clashes with the Merseysiders.

The Cottagers last strike against Rafa Benitez’ side came from Clint Dempsey in a 1-0 home win back in May 2007.

Liverpool may have won on their last two visits to Craven Cottage but they haven’t had it all their own way in the Premier League era with Fulham winning three of the last seven clashes.

Those of you who may be expecting a draw this weekend may want to take into account that none of the last eight meetings have finished without a winner and these two have never drawn at the Cottage in the Premier League.

Only Arsenal (7 wins) have won more games at Craven Cottage than Liverpool who have picked up five wins since Fulham were promoted back to the top flight.

Fernando Torres should be back in the Liverpool line-up for the weekend which dramatically increases the Reds chances of picking up all three points.

Even though, the Spaniard is not fully fit, he’s still a superb finisher and at this level can be the difference between winning or not.

Despite a superb scoring record, Torres still remains far more dangerous at Anfield as only 13 of his 47 league goals for the club have been scored away from home. This is somewhat surprising when you consider that the Spaniard’s so quick and likes to play on the last shoulder of defenders.

I would personally expect him to find far more space in away matches when the opposition don’t tend to sit as deeply as at Anfield.

Despite the confidence gained from Liverpool’s win over the champions, Fulham will not be pushovers.

Roy Hodgson has built a well-organised outfit and they are currently unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions (2 wins).

The Cottagers will need to be aware of Liverpool’s tendency to score late goals this season as they’ve netted 12 times in the final 30 minutes of matches which is a telling statistic about this Liverpool side’s fitness and desire.

If Liverpool can keep it tight, I would expect them to take the points this weekend.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have won at the Cottage this term without conceding and the confidence gained by Liverpool’s clean-sheet against the Champions last weekend will stand them in good stead.

Despite the fact that Liverpool have lost their last four away trips in all competitions, scoring just once in the process, I am backing them this weekend.

Liverpool will always create chances with Fernando Torres in the team, so I’m expecting the Reds to build momentum with a Premier 10 away win.
