It was a tale of two penalties at Loftus Road as Crystal Palace came from behind to earn themselves a battling draw against Queens Park Rangers.
QPR took an early lead after Adel Taarabt was caught by Danny Butterfield in the penalty area allowing Akos Buzsaky to slot home the resulting spot kick in the 19th minute.
Just after the hour, Neil Warnock’s men were then also awarded a penalty when ex-Eagle Fitz Hall pulled down Palace substitute Freddie Sears. Darren Ambrose stepped up to smash the ball home for the equaliser and claim his ninth goal of the season.
But the last half hour of the game saw Jim Magilton’s men chase the win, only for the brilliance of Julian Speroni in the Palace goal to deny them the three points. The Argentine’s performance had Warnock branding him the top stopper in the country; “He's the best keeper in this division by a mile, and I don't see anyone better in the Premier League,"
"It's good that nobody rates him. But he's not leaving this club while I'm manager - unless I take him somewhere with me."
I felt at half-time we could go on and win the game, we came back into it and had some great chances, so I'm disappointed in a way," added Warnock.
"But it was a good game. And they were both certain penalties.
"My players gave me everything, and if they hadn't we'd have been turned over."
The Eagles have now only lost one game in the last nine league fixtures.
