Full-back Mike Brown reckons he is some way off an international recall with Harlequins team-mate Ugo Monye currently laying claim to the England number 15 shirt.

Monye has been in imperious form for his club since returning from the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa, but finished on the losing side - despite showing some good touches - in Saturday’s 18-9 defeat to Australia at Twickenham.

“I’ve only been back six games. Ugo played really well when I wasn’t playing and he was in the England squads when I wasn’t in any,” said Brown.

“It is a fair call from the England guys, but I’m not really thinking about that I’m just trying to do my best for Quins.”
