Neil Warnock believes Swansea City manager Paulo Sousa got the wrong end of the stick when he said Crystal Palace should be relegated for going into administration.
Sousa, whose side travel to Selhurst Park tomorrow night, claimed the rules in this country were too lenient on teams going into administration and that instead of being docked 10 points, the Eagles should be automatically relegated.
Palace manager Warnock admitted he agreed with Sousa in some part, but that the former Portuguese international had misunderstood the situation.
"I think he wasn't sure of the facts," said Warnock.
"I agree with him in the majority in that when a club puts itself into administration in order to get rid of its debts I think it is totally wrong and I agree with him they should be relegated.
"But that was not the case with us.
"We were trying to pay our debts and it was not our choice to go into administration.
"He has just picked up the wrong end of the stick."
