Striders had the first two finishers in the Roundshaw Downs parkrun on Saturday. Justin Macenhill gained a clear win in 18 minutes 14, with Barry White second in 20 minutes 12. The organisers had to alter the course at short notice because of circus vehicles parked on the Downs, so the race was slightly longer than the usual five kilometres.

Striders’ other finishers were: 7 Alan Dolton 22.15; 30 Carmen Somerset 25.48; 32 Karen Macenhill 25.52; 33 Chris Smith 25.52; 34 Andy Elliott 26.05; 42 Karen Peake 27.28; 44 Michael George 27.33; 69 Karen Connor 33.03.

Meanwhile Simon Ambrosi was second in the Bromley parkrun in 18 minutes 44.
