Two trialists from Racing Santander will not be signing for League One Brentford because they are no better than any of boss Andy Scott's current squad.
The duo trained with the Bees in Portugal last week as part of the club's week-long pre-season training camp, but the manager says that is as far as it will go.
“They were okay but it is a tough job for them to come in infront of these lads because they have worked so hard,” said Scott.
“First and foremost their fitness has got to be there and they have got to be better quality.
“It is a testament to the lads we have here that two players from Racing Santander - who have played in the first team and played in La Liga - weren't able prove they were better than we already have.”
