Full back Ross Chisholm has warned his Harlequins team-mates that Northampton Saints represent a massive challenge if the side are to progress to the Aviva Premiership final.

The 21-year-old scored five tries in February – including two against the Cardiff Blues in the LV= Cup – to earn him the club’s player of the month award and help his side finish on top of the Premiership table for the first time.

But Chisholm, who has played for Esher in the Championship too this season, was only too aware his Quins could yet go unrewarded this term.

“It’s been a fantastic season,” he said.

“We took this season each game at a time. We knew that the end results would come from focusing on the processes from match to match.

“We’ve worked hard and the results have been great, but we’ve won nothing yet.

“To get to the final is the main aim, everyone plays in this league to get to the final and we are hunting for that.

“Saints are a good team, it will be a tough game we know that, but in front of a packed out Stoop we just hope we can get that win.”
