Carshalton Athletic new boy Lewis Taylor is delighted the club’s ambitions match his own after switching to Colston Avenue at the weekend.
The 25-year-old former AFC Wimbledon midfielder met up with his new team-mates at a squad meeting on Saturday.
Taylor, who scored the winner for Tonbridge Angels in the 2011 Ryman Premier League play-off final, notched six goals for the Dons in the Blue Square Premier two seasons ago.
And the former Bromley ace, who will join Luke Pigden in midfield, wants success with the Robins.
“The set-up is solid at Carshalton and it is clear the club’s ambitions matched mine,” said Taylor.
“After speaking to my new team-mates at the meeting it seems everyone’s driving aim is to try and finish as high as possible in the league.”
Carshalton Athletic kick off their pre-season friendly schedule with a visit to Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday, July 21.
