Molesey Boat Club have confirmed they will honour their six London 2012 Olympic medallists with a gala event at the club’s Graburn Way base.
Skipper Andrew Triggs Hodge and fellow men’s four champion Tom James will be joined by men’s eight bronze medallists Greg Searle, Moe Sbihi and James Foad, pictured below, for the welcome home barbecue on September 30.
Surprise men’s pairs bronze medal winner George Nash is also expected to be at the Barge Walk clubhouse, as well as Team GB reserve Cameron Nichol.
A new crop of Molesey stars were going for gold for Team GB at the European Championships this weekend.
Pete Robinson and Fred Gill were in the men’s eight, while Ruth Walczak went in the lightweight women’s double sculls in Italy.
