Quins chief O'Shea philosophical over Sarries defeat

Director of rugby Conor O'Shea has insisted his Quins men will move on after watching them crash to a first defeat of the Premiership season on Sunday.

Fly half Nick Evans endured an uncharacteristically wayward afternoon with the boot as he missed four of his eight attempts at goal, before a miscued up and under cost his side the crucial penalty that handed the former champions an 18-16 triumph at the Stoop.

Danny Care scored the only try of the game in the first half of a typically attritional clash with the north Londoners, that was ultimately decided by the boot of Saracens' England star Owen Farrell, who scored all six of his penalty kicks.

"We were disappointed to lose, but it is a long, long season," said O'Shea.

"We never get carried away when we win and we never get carried away when we lose. 

"We didn't take our opportunities.  The kick that ballooned up at the end from Nick just about summed up the day really.

"It wasn't a good game of rugby, but big games are decided by very, very small margins.

"We'll just move on and get ready for Exeter Chiefs next week."
