Burnley conquered: Owen Garvan celebrates his goal in the 2-0 win over Burnley last season SP59544
Crystal Palace take on Burnley this afternoon (Saturday) in the Championship hoping to go into the international break on the end of a remarkable turnaround in fortunes.
Since the 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the beginning of September, Dougie Freedman's men have gone six games unbeaten.
Avoiding defeat against the men from Turfmoor would put the seal on a fine run and leave confidence soaring when they return to Championship action against London rivals Millwall.
Freedman said: "When I took the job over 18 to 20 months ago we played Burnley and they were by far the better team, and I knew that we had a long way to go.
"Now I am going into this game quite confident that we are a match for them.
"They have spent a bit of money, Charlie Austin is a top player, and they have spent on Kieran Trippier and Jason Shackell at the back.
"But our development programme means we’re an even match now and we don’t have to fear them. If we can perform at our potential it is a winnable game."
