Wimbledon bounced back from last weekend's humbling at the hands of East Grinstead to beat Trojans 44-27 in London Divison One South.

Five changes were made to the team beaten 22-0, including a late change and three new names.

A new-look front row with Steve May and hooker Tiernan Dixon and Pete Wallace moving to the tight-head side were not disrupted by the reluctance of the home team to assume the crouch position in the scrums.

The fitness of Trojans was also shown up given that Wimbledon ran up 36 second half points and conceded 17.

Once again the Wimbledon performance was marred by a yellow card, this time for lifting the player in the tackle.

Wimbledon’s try scorers were Leon Driscoll (two), Myles Stringer - who also scored a drop goal - Pete Wallace, Dan Brown and Jules Callanan.

Driscoll also scored four conversions and a penalty.

Next week, Wimbledon host Gosport & Fareham (kick off 3pm).
