Herne Hill Harriers stalwart Wilson is awarded life membership

Herne Hill Harriers' Dave Wilson has been awarded life memberships at the club's presentation evening.

The accolade is in recognition of nearly 30 years as an athlete, team manager, official and field referee.

The club's top athletes were awarded best performance trophies throughout the age groups, which were given to English Schools, national champions and internationals.

The club has enjoyed one of its most successful years with 14 of the club's athletes ranked in the top 10 in the country in their events.

This year has seen both the club's senior track teams being promoted in their national track and field leagues with the men's teams joining the elite of the British League Premiership and the women's team in the top 16 in the country in the UK womens league.
