The Tadworth 10 has a new record holder after Neil Boniface romped home in 53 minutes 36 seconds.
The Horsham Jogger AC club member beat Nick Wojek (57:15) into second place, and Nathan Smeaton of Clapham Chasers (59:02) into third.
Barnes Runner Paul Cheetham (59:21) and Michael Salt (59:43) were the only other runners who broke the one-hour barrier in freezing conditions around Epsom Downs, Walton-on-the-Hill and Tadworth on Sunday.
Top of the tree in the women’s race was Lucie Custance of Clapham Chasers, who clocked 1.02:57.
She was followed by Tina Oldershaw (1.07:15) of Paddock Wood AC, and Julia Donovan (1.09:48) of Wimbledon Windmilers.
Clapham Chasers won the overall team titles in both the men’s and the women’s races.
The race was run in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Tadworth AC’s nominated charity.
