Best result for Harriers endurance squad

Croydon Harriers’ endurance squad completed their Surrey Road League campaign with their best result of the season at the Wimbledon 5km Dash on Sunday, writes Matthew Kiernan.

The Harriers finished a solid 12th out of the 33 competing teams, a result which should see them finish in the top 20 in the league overall.

David White spearheaded Croydon’s efforts with a 14th place finish over the undulating course, crossing the line in 17 minutes and four seconds.

Andy Del Nevo (50th, 18:56) and David Brown (73rd, 20:19) completed the scoring trio, while there was non-scoring support from Keith Brown (21:56) who was fifth in the M55 category.
