Sun 22nd Aug RICHMOND BARNES & DISTRICT BOWLING ASSOCIATION DOUBLE RINK SEMI-FINAL NORTH SHEEN v ASHFORD Ashford had played well in this competition to get to the semi-finals. The away team played a good game and managed to keep their score close and finished with a draw which would help greatly for an overall win. However disaster struck at the home game. The Ashford players just could not get their act together, and combined with a bit of bad luck they ended up handing victory to their opponents far too easily. The Ashford players wish North Sheen good luck in the final. MIXED MATCH STAINES 89 v ASHFORD 98 Ashford finished the week with a win at Staines. The game was keenly contested throughout and neither side looked like having an easy win. Indeed the result was decided on the last few ends played with Ashford winning three rinks to Staines' two rinks.
