Division One

Dulwich ended a miserable season on a winning note at home to Farnham, but they will still be playing Division Two cricket next term after finishing bottom of the pile.

Naeem Iqbal took 3-26 as Dulwich restricted the visitors to just 131 off 24.1 overs, a target reached with just three wickets down and a knock of 43 from opener Anil Mahey.

Beddington in mid-table could not stop Valley End claiming the second promotion place following a 43-run defeat on the road.

Having been set 253 to win, Beddington’s valiant effort – including 68 from Tom Caines – ended in the 46th over on 209.

In a rain-affected match of 41 overs each, Old Whitgiftians narrowly lost at home to promotion chasing Normandy by five runs.

After electing to bat, Normandy set the host 182 to win, a target narrowly missed as Old Whitgiftians fell short on 176-9.

Division Two

Purley finished in mid-table obscurity but Nav Chaudhry had a day to remember taking 6-37 in an eight-wicket demolition of Ashford at The Ridge.

Already relegated Ashford crumbled for 77 in 23 overs, and Purley were home and dry in the 15th over.

Trinity Mid-Whitgiftians avoided relegation by 13 points even though their final match against Chessington was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Division Three

Chipstead, Coulsdon & Walcountians were already confirmed as playing Division Two cricket next season, before becoming league leader Epsom’s final victim.

Salil Oberoi hit 57 as CCW hit 173 all out off 41 overs, but Epsom gobbled up the target in 40 overs to seal their 18th consecutive win and a 100 per cent record for the season.

Addiscombe were not to be denied despite finishing an agonising third.

Openers M Halse (82*) and Scott Benham (123) made short work of the 217 all out that Staines & Laleham had set to seal a nine-wicket win.

Division Five

A fact many knew for a long time was finally confirmed on Saturday, when Southern Railway & Kenley’s abandoned clash at home to Merrow saw them drop out of the Surrey Championships.

Sanderstead ended the season on a winning note and in mid-table with a 35-run triumph at Stoke D’Abernon.

After being skittled for 126, Sanderstead’s Scott Pettifor (3-20), Simon Carter (3-16) and Matthew Hilton (4-15) had Stoke D’Abernon all out for just 91.
