Play off final
A remarkable season under Iain Dowie was capped off in memorable fashion at the Millennium Stadium as Neil Shipperley's tap in from Andy Johson's shot secured Palace Premiership football for the first time since 1998.
Nobody had really given Palace a prayer against a West Ham side relegated from the Premiership the season before but the fighting spirit and winning attitude that had accompanied the side since Christmas shone through.
The atmosphere was electric throughout and the jubilant scenes at the Palace end were amazing when the final whistle blew.
