Jonathan Parr was crowned Crystal Palace’s player of the year at Saturday’s awards night.

The Norwegian edged fellow defender Anthony Gardner in a tight vote to take the prize which was won by Nathaniel Clyne last year.

Wilfried Zaha, also nominated for player of the year, won the young player of the year for a second year in a row, while Parr and Jonathan Williams, who signed a new five-year deal last week, picked up the vice presidents’ player and young player of the year awards.

Darren Ambrose’s goal against Manchester United was named goal of the season while there was a special presentation for goalkeeper Julian Speroni after he made his 250th appearance for the club this season.

Palace fan Andrew Carey picked up the Eagles’ supporter of the year award.
