Freedman quits Crystal Palace
2:57pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012 in Eagles News By Tim Ashton
Bye bye now: Dougie Freedman is off to the Reebok
Dougie Freedman has left Crystal Palace to become the new manager of Bolton Wanderers.
An official source inside Selhurst Park revealed that Freedman signed forms with the Championship rivals this afternoon (Tuesday) after being given permission to talk to the club yesterday.
Lenny Lawrence and Curtis Fleming will take charge of tonight's Championship clash at Barnsley.
Crystal Palace said: "Crystal Palace Football Club can confirm that first team manager Dougie Freedman has joined Bolton Wanderers.
"The Board of the Club would like to put on record their thanks to Dougie for all his efforts over the past couple of years and their disappointment over the events of the past few days.
"The search for a replacement starts immediately."
More to follow.
