Holloway gets his man in an Eagles shirt

Crystal Palace have boosted their attacking options with the capture of Manchester City striker Alex Nimely on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Liberian-born England U20 internation has not long completed a loan spell at League One Coventry City where he impressed, despite only scoring one goal in 17 appearances.

First team chances at the City of Manchester Stadium have been limited to single appearance in 2010, and prior to his time in the Midlands, Nimely made nine appearances for Middlesbrough while on loan.

Ian Holloway told the Crystal Palace website: “I've admired him for a couple of years, I like his movement, skill and his tenacity. I want him to play for us and get some goals and hopefully he'll do that.

"He's a nice kid and he's one of the ones that they tend to stack and rack at clubs like Manchester City and I'm very pleased that with the choices he had he's chosen us.”
