Crystal Palace have signed Anthony Gardner on loan from Hull City.
The centre-back has joined until January having fallen down the pecking at the KT Stadium under new manager Nigel Pearson.
Eagles boss George Burley will hope Gardner, who has an England cap having played in a friendly against Sweden in March 2004, will help bolster a defence that has leaked nine goals already this season and has yet to keep a clean sheet in the league.
