Simon Jordan to release autobiography
10:32am Friday 25th May 2012 in Eagles News By Graham Moody, Sports Reporter
Revealing all: Simon Jordan, stood up on the right, releases his autobiography next month
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan is set to reveal the secrets of his time at Selhurst Park in his autobiography.
Be Careful What You Wish For will hit the shelves on June 7 and promises to lift the lid on how football works from the inside as the 44-year-old discusses his decade in charge of Palace.
Jordan, a lifelong Palace fan, made his money in the mobile phone business - selling his company for £75m and buying Palace in 2000.
He helped Palace back into the Premiership in 2004, but, in 2010, was forced out of the club after it was placed in administration.
"I am incredibly excited about the publication of Simon Jordan's book, Be Careful What You Wish For," said Matt Phillips, the editorial director of Yellow Jersey Press, who are publishing the book.
"There have been plenty of books by footballers, almost as many by managers, but this is the first to lift the lid on the owner’s story.
"It's a story of excess and power, incredible highs and devastating lows.
"It's without a doubt one of the best football books I've ever read.
"When you've finished it, believe me, you'll never look at the 'beautiful game' in quite the same way again."
