Fantastic September puts manager and striker up for top gongs
1:56pm Thursday 11th October 2012 in Eagles News By Tim Ashton
Crystal Palace have double reason to be proud today as Dougie Freedman and Glenn Murray have been nominated for the nPower Championship manager and player of the month awards.
It can come as little surprise that Freedman is up for the manager award for September as a virtually flawless month produced four wins and a draw, pushing the Eagles from the lower reaches of the Championship into the play-off places.
Murray's nomination comes on the back of the Scot's record of six goals in five games, including a hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Cardiff City.
The winners will be announced tomorrow (October 12).
