Crystal Palace are understood to have pulled the plug on the expected appointment of Malky Mackay as manager.
The former Cardiff City boss had been expected to be installed as a replacement for Tony Pulis, who parted ways with the Eagles last week.
But is is thought a disagreement over backroom staff has led to the breakdown of negotiations with Mackay.
Caretaker manager Keith Millen now looks likely to remain in charge for West Ham's visit to Selhurst Park on Saturday.
