Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has warned against complacency ahead of tonight’s visit of Sunderland.
Palace, who are looking for their first win in three Premier League games, host a Black Cats side that has conceded 10 goals in two games – including the 8-0 hammering at Southampton.
Gus Poyet’s men sit just inside the dropzone, a solitary point below the Eagles.
Warnock said: “You don't kid yourself, results like Sunderland had at [Southampton] don't happen very often.
“Every game in this league is difficult to get maximum points, which is why it was so disappointing last week [at West Brom] not to get it.”
He added: “Every team has got a chance in every game, as we saw when Newcastle beat Man City in the Capital One Cup.
“It is the closest Premier League for many years, apart from the top two and now you are saying ‘Is it the top two or the top one?’''
For Palace, Damien Delaney returns from suspension, while James McArthur is a possible after recovering from a hip problem.
Scott Dann is unlikely to feature as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
