Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock says contract negotiations with his defensive duo are at stalemate.

Both Joel Ward and Damien Delaney have been offered new deals, but they are yet to give Warnock an answer.

He said: “There is a bit of stalemate at the minute, the offers are there and it is entirely down to them.

“There’s no deadline, they are already tied to the club. We just want to give them a longer contract and more money. But it is on hold at the moment.”

Meanwhile, Ryan Inniss’ loan spell at League One strugglers Yeovil Town has been extended for another month – despite the 19-year-old’s lack of game time.

Since going on loan to the Glovers in October, Inniss has made just three appearances - moreover, the club is languishing at the foot of the table.

Warnock said: “It is a little detrimental that he is not playing, but it is all good experience for him to be in and around the first team.

“We’ll see how it goes. We did consider recalling him, but there not many U21 games either at the moment, so we felt for another month it was not going to hurt anything.”
