Crystal Palace are keen to bring experienced Premier League defender Bacary Sagna to Selhurst Park.
Sagna, 34, is a free agent following his release from Manchester City in May.
The France international is also being chased by Palace’s top-flight rivals West Brom.
Sagna has been attracting interest from Ligue 1 clubs, however, French publication L’Equipe says he could extend his 10-year stay in England.
He made more than 200 appearances for Arsenal after signing from Auxerre in 2007, before moving to Manchester City.

City boss Pep Guardiola decided against offering the right-back a new deal, and is on the verge of replacing him with £50m-rated Tottenham and England defender Kyle Walker.
Joel Ward and Craig Dawson have the right-back position nailed down at Crystal Palace and West Brom, respectively.
But the arrival of Sagna, who is an FA Cup and League Cup winner, would put their first-team spot in jeopardy.
