The Croydon Guardian caught up with a few fans after Palace’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
Marian Hamilton, from South Croydon, said: “I think the referee was inconsistent. It was a physical game but the ref took every booking opportunity with us.
“We have got to win against Swansea, we tend to give away a late goal so I will go with 2-1.”
Husband Angus Hamilton, of South Croydon, said: “The sending off changed the whole game.
“The referee was out of position, the linesman was in position. It should not have been a penalty, he has sent the guy off and it ruins the game.
“I think we will beat Swansea 2-0.”
Joe Dawes of Dumfries, Scotland said: “It was never a penalty, it was outside the box. I thought Dwight Gayle’s chance was in just before then as well.
“Jason Puncheon and Chamakh have been good additions. We have got a good chance to beat Swansea, I hope we play the same starting eleven as we did against Manchester United.”
Tim Warren, from Folkestone, said: “I thought we played well considering we had ten men. I thought we battled superbly.
“I’m not feeling too negative as I’ve had a good weekend so far in Manchester. In terms of Swansea they play great football. We’re going to have to be on our guard and play to our best.
“I am going to go for a draw - a scoring draw. 1-1 with Chamakh to score.”
