Everton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed Leighton Baines will not feature against Crystal Palace on Friday night.
The left-back has missed the Blues’ last two matches against Norwich and Bournemouth with a hamstring injury.
Koeman said he felt it was “too risky” to play England international Baines against Alan Pardew’s Palace.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Koeman explained: “It’s too risky and after tomorrow we have the international break, so we don’t want to take that risk.”
Former Southampton manager Koeman also confirmed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku will start against the Eagles.
The 23-year-old had been struggling with a foot problem but has recovered in time for Friday’s clash.
“It’s still painful but he did this week’s sessions and will start,” Koeman added.
