SANDRIDGE Cricket Club booked their place in the Semi-Finals of the St Albans Observer Knockout Cup after the narrowest of wins over Greenwood Park.

With both teams needing a win to progress through to the last four, Park batted first and reached 160-8, courtesy of some dire bowling from Sandridge who yielded 79 extra runs.

In reply, Peter Camm, playing against his brother David's team, knocked a superb 63 not out as his side also reached 160 runs, but for the loss of only six wickets.

Sandridge now meet the winners of Group A, with St Albans, London Colney and Abbey battling for the top two spots. Holders St Albans West Indians, who are already through to the last four, play the Group A runners-up.
