FOR THE CHILDREN: There will be an open garden at Easdale, Woodlands Close, Bickley, behind St George’s Church, in aid of the Bromley branch of the NSPCC. The owner of the house has created a Japanese theme in the front garden. The garden will be open from 2pm to 5pm on July 6. Entrance is £2, with teas, home-made cakes and a plant stall on offer. There is wheelchair access at the house.

BIKE WEEK: National Bike Week is in full swing in Bromley with a series of events for adults and youngsters of all abilities. Among the events lined up are a group bike-to-work ride into the City of London, a bike-handling competition and bike confidence classes for all ages. There will be a plant stall, with tea and cakes also on sale. Entry will be £2 and those attending are advised to park on St Paul’s Wood Hill.

TRUST’S COFFEE MORNING: People are invited to a coffee morning organised by the War Memorial Trust every Wednesday, in Memorial Hall, Petts Wood, from 10.30am to noon.
