WOLVES 2 v 1 CRYSTAL PALACE

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Fonte, Lawrence, Hill, Derry, Carle, Watson, Scannell, Djilali, Ifill. SUBS: McCarthy, Fletcher, Griffit, Ertl, Thomas.

Wolves: Hennessey, Collins, Stearman, Kightly, Henry (c), Ebanks-Blake, Keogh, S Ward, Jones, Vokes, Foley. SUBS: Edwards, Shackell, Friend, Ikeme, Gray.

Welcome to tonight's game at Molineux where Neil Warnock makes two changes to the side that beat Swansea on Saturday. The injured John Oster and James Scowcroft drop out to be replaced by Sean Scannell and Kieron Djilali - who make his first league start - presumably leaving Paul Ifill to plough a lone forrow up front. Jose Fonte keeps his place ahead of Paddy McCarthy who is on the bench, but there is no place in the 16 for Victor Moses.

1 min: GOAL! Dreadful start for Palace, they haven't even touched the ball yet and are a goal down. Keogh was given time to cross from the left, Kightly time to head it down and Ebanks-Blake time to turn and shoot from 12 yards into the bottom corner. If Palace were to have any chance in this game they needed not to concede early.

3 min: Speroni tips Kightly cross over the bar and it seems Scannell is the lone striker not Ifill.

9 min: Palace look a little bit lost right now and are giving a lot of free kicks away. I still cannot get over the marking for the goal - awful, absolutely awful. The latest free-kicks whistles just over everyone and out.

12 min: Double save from Hennessey as Palace come alive. Watson is fouled 30 yards out and Carle puts Ifill through with a quick pass but his powerful drive is brilliantly stopped by Hennessey then ten seconds later Carle volleys from distance but it's easy for the keeper.

19 min: Djilali shoots over from distance. He's got past his man twice so far but then at times seems like he doesn't want. Fonte lucky to escape a booking for a late tackle on Ebanks-Blake.

22 min: ooh that should have been a Wolves penalty as Hill seemed to pull Vokes down in the box after Palace let it bounce. Ref waves play on though.

28 min: SUB: The injured Jones is replaced by Edwards. Palace are trying to pass it through Wolves at times but don't get anwhere with it.

32 min: GOAL! Ifill equalises and maybe Palace deserve that. Collins fails to deal with a high Butterfield ball and gives it to Djilali. He passes to an unmarked Ifill in teh box who keeps his cool to slot home from six yards under pressure.

34 min: Lawrence bravely blocks Edwards shot from a well-worked corner where the Palace marking was again polite to say the least.

36 min: YELLOW CARD. Hill booked for pulling back Kightly 20 yards out.

40 min: Wolves allowed too much time on the ball again and Kightly's goal bound shot is well blocked by Fonte, though I'm not sure he knew too much about it.

45 min: Ebanks-Blake ball through to Edwards take an unlucky twists and just reaches Speroni first. Two minutes added on.

HALF TIME: Bar some sloppy marking from Palace not too bad although they don't always know what to do when they get forward. Wolves have been good but are making a lot of mistakes too. Could go either way in the second half though I can see Wolves scoring again and I'm not sure I can see Palace doing that.

46 min: Palace get us back under way. No changes.

51 min: YELLOW CARD: Lawrence mistimes his tackle on Ebanks-Blake, gets a boot in the face and a booking. The free-kick is wasted.

52 min: Edwards free Vokes down the right but his teasing cross is just in front of everyone. Palace hanging on a bit here but need to weather this pressure.

55 min: Speroni saves from Kightly as a burst down the left wing from Collins leave Palace wide open. Kightly then has two more slightly difficult chances and fluffs them both.

58 min: GOAL! It's been coming. Hill and Lawrence go for the same ball, miss it, Kighlty picks it up in space and crosses for Ebanks-Blake and though Speroni saves his shot brilliantly, Butterfield can't keep out Andy Keogh's follow-up.

62 min: Great chance for Ifill's as his shot from Djilali's cross deflects off Stearman and wide. Unlucky. From the corner the ball bobbles about but won't fall for a Palace player.

65 min: Kightly shoots straight at Speroni after cutting inside Hill.

66 min: SUB: Gray comes on for Vokes and Griffit comes on for Scannell. He's run his heart out upfront without much luck.

68 min: YELLOW CARD. Foley booked for a callous pull back on Hill in the corner. Watson his the wall with his free-kick but gets a corner that Henderson just gets a finger too.

72 min: Kightly misses a gilt-edged chance as a wonderful counter puts him through one on one but he shoots over. How many chances does he want. Wolves should be home and dry by now.

75 min: Ebanks-Blake dives in on Derry and gets booked.

75 min: SUB: Ifill off for Thomas, who makes his debut. Non-league to Championship, let's see how he fares.

78 min: Kightly wastes another chance as Wolves counter again but overhits his throughball to Keogh.

80 min: Attendance 22,200 as Kightly volleys over after Hill twice jumps for the ball and misses it both times.

85 min: Ebanks-Blake turns Lawrence with ease on the edge of the box but fire high and wide.

86 min: Keogh shoots over this time and then a minute later Gray goes down under a challange from Derry off the ball. Nothing given though.

89 min: Carle shoots over when he cuts inside the box and is then subbed, McCarthy coming on and going up front.

90 min: Three minutes added on and a draw looks unlikely.

92 min: Kightly shoots wide again when well placed. Ebanks-Blake off, Shackell on.

FULL TIME: Palace lose and in the end they were outclassed. Wolves could have had plenty if they could shoot but on other hand the Eagles have played worse this season. Put simply though you cannot concede after 19 seconds and expect to win. Next up is Plymouth on Saturday, see you then.
