CRYSTAL PALACE 1 V 2 NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Welcome to tonight's game at Selhurst Park against Nottingham Forest, with me Graham Moody.

Neil Warnock springs a surprise in his starting line-up by naming 20-year-old Rhoys Wiggins at left back for his debut. Presumably both Clint Hill and Lee Hills are injured as neither are on the bench. Other than that Victor Moses comes back in for John Oster and Kieran Djilali is back on the bench in place of Neil Danns.

Colin Calderwood starts with Joe Garner and Rob Earnshaw upfront and Carl Fletcher is not included because he is on loan from Palace.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, McCarthy, Lawrence, Wiggins, Derry, Carle, Watson, Moses, Ifill, Beattie. Subs: Scannell, Ertl, Oster, Kuqi, Djilali.

Forest: Camp, Lynch, Chambers, Morgan, Breckin, Perch, McGugan, Earnshaw, McCleary, Cohen, Garner. Subs: Smith, Tyson, Davies, Martin, Thornhill.

min: And we're off. Wiggins gives a foul away straight away - then makes a good last ditch header at the back post to concede a corner.

min: Speroni makes a good save from Earnshaw as Palace make a mess of clearing on he edge of their box. Good start from the visitors.

min: Moses long throw causes a few problems but Forest manage to clear and go up the other end where Derry's back pass is almost intercepted by Earnshaw, who looks lively early on.

min: McGugan goes over Wiggins' leg on the edge of the penalty area but nothing given and no real shouts for anything form Forest. Palace are very much route one right now.

min: Lawrence recovers well to block Earnshaw's shot on the edge of the box after McCarthy slipped and gave the Welshman a free run at goal.

min: Wiggins and Garner have a little coming together that results in some argy bargy but nothing major and Palace get the free kick which comes back out to Derry 35 yards out and he ambitously shoots over but struck it well.

min: Garner goes down in the box under Lawrence challenge from behind. Nothing given but it was tight. To be honest, it's a poor game right now.

min: Palace's turn for a penalty shout as Beattie goes down under Morgan's block but nothing given, then Moses skips past Chambers but his cut back is blocked.

min: GOAL! Palace go behind as Cohen's free-kick from the right goes all the way in. Breckin may have got a touch but was difficult to tell.

min: Palace scored one of those earlier in the season so maybe things even out but if the Eagles are to get something from this they are going to have to improve drastically, they have been poor so far.

min: Palace's best chance as Ifill collect's Moses' ball on the edge of the box, spins his man and makes space but then drags his shot wide. Good chance.

min: Watson overhits a free kick in a good spot and that sums Palace up so far.

min: Earnshaw should have put Forest 2-0 up as he finds himself through on goal but with Lawrence crawling all over the back of him he shoots straight at Speroni.

min: Beattie wastes a decent opportunity by getting himself offside when he didn't need to, before Moses fires over from 35 yards - at least it was a shot.

min: YELLOW CARD: Derry booked for a late block McGugan and from the free-kick Forest are given miles of space in the box but make nothing of it.

min: Ifill gets to the byline but his cut back finds no one - mainly because there was no one to find.

min: One minute added on

HALF TIME: Boos for Palace and rightly so, they've been poor and it's time for one of those famous Warnock rants.

min: SUB: Second half under way and Palace make a change, Kuqi coming on for Beattie who was carrying a knock before the game.

min: The big Finn almost makes a instant impact as he challenges for a ball in the box and the rebound falls to Ifill who skews his volley wide.

min: McCarthy misjudges a long kick by Camp and Earnshaw almost nips in. Palace have been very dodgy at the back so far today.

min: If you need any proof of how cold it is tonight, Palace communication supremo Terry Byfield is wearing a jacket - and he never ever does that.

min: Palace suddenly find a new lease of life as Ifill gets to the byline and his cross to the near post more hits Watson than anything else and goes just wide before Kuqi goes on a run to the byline too and his cut back justr fails to find Carle. Better from Palace.

min: All Palace at the minute as Ifill lets rip with his left foot from wide on the right and Camp is forced to stop it creeping in the bottom corner.

min: Carle with the chance now inside the box but he hits the side netting, should have got it on target.

min: SUB: Earnshaw off, Tyson on.

min: YELLOW CARD: McCarthy booked for a trip on Garner in the centre circle, seemed harsh.

min: SUB: Carle off, Djilali on. Ifill goes upfront with Kuqi, Moses and Djilali on the wings.

min: It's raining fairly heavily now and players are slipping all over the place, oh and it's still very cold. Palace are having the majority of possession but doing nothing with it and too often the final ball is going astray.

min: SUB: Thornhill on, Garner off.

min: GOAL! Palace are level and it's a beauty from that man....Shefku Kuqi. He chests Butterfield's long ball down 20 yards out, turning his man and firing a rocket into the net past Camp.

min: McCarthy recovers brilliantly to block Tyson as he looked through on goal. Butterfield is struggling and about to be replced by Ertl.

min: Indeed there is the sub.

min: Attendance, 15,162.

min: GOAL. Rubbish goal for Palace to concede. Perch gets through but Speroni smothers brilliantly. Perch nudges the rebound towards goal, Lawrence clears if off the line before Thornhill is there to tackle McCarthy and it rolls in.

min: SUB: McCleary off, Davies on.

min: Forest break from a Palace corner but Tyson wastes it.

min: Palace don't look like scoring.

min: Morgan does well to get a block on Ifill as he twists and threatens to shoot in the box before his cross just evades Watson's head.

min: YELLOW CARD: Tyson booked for a late challenge on Wiggins, before streaking clear and being denied by Speroni.

min: Four minutes added on.

min: Watson's free-kick finds Ifill at the back post but his shot is blocked, cries for hand ball but nothing giving. Speroni then produces a produces a brilliant save from McGugan up the other end.

FULL TIME: Palace lose at home to the bottom side and to be honest they deserved it. Palace had a lot of urgency in the second half but little to show for it. One point from a possible nine now and Warnock has work to do. Next up is Sheffield Wednesday here on Saturday, see you then.
