CRYSTAL PALACE 1 v 4 IPSWICH TOWN

Hello and welcome to this afternoon's match at Selhurst Park, where Neil Warnock makes three changes to the side that beat Leicester City in the cup on Wednesday.

Jose Fonte returns from injury to partner Matt Lawrence in central defence with Clint Hill moving to left back and Danny Butterfield dropping to the bench.

John Oster celebrates his new contract by replacing Neil Danns in midfield and Sean Scannell replaces the injured Victor Moses.

Palace: Speroni, Clyne, Lawrence, Fonte, Hill, Derry (c), Oster, Carle, Scannell, Lee, Ifill. Subs: Hills, Danns, Butterfield, Kuqi, Djilali.

Ipswich: Wright, McAuley (c), Bruce, Garvan, Niller, Counago, Norris, , Haynes, Walter, Harding. Subs: Lisbie, Stead, Quinn, Shumulikoski, Supple.

1 min: Ipswich get us under way.

4 min: No early action to tell you about but if Palace get three points today they could go seventh above Burnley, if they lose they could go tenth.

10 min: Palace are trying to play the ball on the deck which is nice to see and they have had a lot of possession but no penetration so far.

15 min: Some neat play by Clyne, Scannell and Oster wins a corner down the right but it's cleared and Palace are beginning to impose themselves now.

18 min: Hill dives in on Counago on the right and though he gets the ball he brings the player down and gives away a free kick in a dangerous position.

19 min: GOAL! Ipswich take the lead as the free kick goes straight in from Garvan. He curled it low with his left foot and Walters cleverly dummied it to let it go in the far corner.

20 min: It's a right shame that for Palace because they have been playing well. It's hard to blame Speroni for it and a defender really should have cut it out.

22 min: Scannell inches away from drawing Palace level as Lee heads Clyne's cross back across goal but the youngster can only get a stud to it and prod it just wide.

24 min: Awesome pace from Clyne to get back and deny Norris as he burst through.

27 min: Lovely build up play from Palace ends with Scannell shooting intside the box but Wright saves.

28 min: GOAL! Ipswich go 2-0 up as Counago, looking a little offside sprints away from Fonte down the left and crosses for Norris to volley home despite Clyne's tackle.

30 min: GOAL! Controversary as Palace get back into the game through Alan Lee. Speroni's long free-kikc found the striker in the box and he headed into the bottom corner. The linesman flags for offside though, presumably thinking Fonte got a touch as he ran in and the ref disallows the goal. Only then to talk to his lino and give it.

33 min: The announcer has given the goal to Fonte but to me it didn't look like he got a touch.

37 min: Great header from Clyne at the back post to deny Norris after Haynes' superb cross. He got a blow on for his troubles though but is back on.

39 min: Almost an exact replica for Palace as Hill's free kick is nodded on by Lee but Fonte cannot get a touch.

45 min: Three minutes added on and Palace can feel a little aggrieved to be behind. The game is threatening to boil over too with Derry and Hill both having little niggles at Walters.

45 min: Ifill, who has been very quiet so far, fires a rocket just over from 20 yards.

HALF TIME: It's not been too bad from Palace though you can see they feel downhearted to be behind. There are still goals in this.

A bit of romance on the pitch at half time here with a man propsing to his girlfriend and she said....yes! Imagine if she had said no though, how embarrassed would he have been.

46 min: SUB: Lawrence off, Butterfield on. He goes right back, Clyne left back and Hill centre back.

46 min: YELLOW CARD: Miller booked for hauling downj Ifill as he turns him 30 yards out. From the free kick Oster squares it to Butterfield who ripples the side netting from 25 yards.

53 min: That looked a stone cast penalty for Palace after some superb link up play put Carle through one on one and Miller just came through the back of him but nothing given. Appalling decision.

55 min: YELLOW CARD. McAuley booked for a late late challenge on Lee. Ref could have played advantage though with Carle in good possession. Nothing comes of the free kick.

57 min: YELLOW CARD. The ref is in danger of losing control here as he books Ifill for clipping Haynes as he speeds away from him.

60 min: Derry escapes with a poor pass that was way too short for Clyne and easily intercepted by Haynes. A covering Hill spares his blushes though.

63 min: Palace living dangerously as Garvan's free kick goes all the way to Balkestein whose header hits Speroni and bounces to safety.

64 min: SUB: Scannell off, Kuqi on as Palace go 4-4-2 with Oster wide right.

65 min: DOUBLE SUB: Haynes and Counago off, Lisbie and Stead on as Ipswich switch their strike force.

69 min: GOAL. Palace exposed down their left as Walters outmuscles Clyne in the box and crosses for Lisbie who controls and side foots home despite Speroni getting a hand to it. Can't see Palace getting back into this now.

73 min: Ifill denied by Wright's legs as Derry's flick on is knocked down by Kuqi and Ifill fires low but straight at the keeper.

76 min: More nice play from Palace on the edge of the Ipswich box almost puts Carle through but Ipswich just about clear the danger.

76 min: Attendance: 15348

79 min: Palace are knocking at the door but gettting nowhere at the minute.

82 min: A mistake from the Ipswich backline lets Kuqi through but his shot from the angle is well smothered by Wrigt. From the corner Kuqi heads goalwards and it's off the line by Harding.

82 min: SUB: Oster off, Djilali on.

90 min: GOAL. All over as Hill heads Garvan's corner into his own net.

90 min: Four minutes added on.

93 min: Kuqi has a wonderful volley saved by Wright.

94 min: SUB: Walters off, Quinn on.

FULL TIME: Not a lot of boos around Selhurst Park as the whistle goes. Palace did shnow signs of class but were undone by poor defending in the end. Next up is Watford in the cup next Saturday, see you then.
